Panto Dance Auditions: Tyne Theatre & Opera House

Join us at Tyne Theatre & Opera House on Sunday 19th May for dance auditions for this year’s pantomime, Aladdin, presented by Enchanted Entertainment from Friday 6th December 2019 to Sunday 5th January 2020.

Age categories & times are as follows:

8 – 11 years old – 10am
12 – 15 years old – 1pm
16+ years – 4pm

Please arrive 30 minutes before the audition time for registration.

FAQS

Is pre-booking required? No pre-booking is needed – please just arrive 30 minutes before the audition time and you will register information on the day.

When will rehearsals take place? If you are a successful candidate, rehearsals will take place every Sunday in November from 10am – 4pm (they may start a little earlier at the end of October)

My child is 11 but will be 12 during the pantomime – which age group should they audition for? Children must audition for the age group that corresponds to the age they will be during the show run.

What should I wear? Comfortable dance/gym style clothes

Do under 16s need a guardian/adult with them? They will need a parent/guardian to sign them in and collect if they are under 16 (under college/sixth form age)

What type of dance will be featured in the auditions? The dance style is mainly ‘Jazz’ based
