Newcastle Poetry Festival is back for its seventh year and taking over Northern Stage for three full days this May!
This year’s theme is “Community” and poets from across the UK and the globe will descend on Northern Stage to explore poetry’s contribution to different communities and how writing collectives can inspire creativity.
Tonnes of events are taking place over the festival’s three-day run - from readings and workshops to lectures and open mics – and acclaimed poets including Claire Askew, Patrick James Errington and Mary Jean Chan will be in attendance.
