Black Sunday (Screen Demons Horror Film Festival): Newcastle Castle

This Event has passed

As part of Screen Demons - North East Horror Film Festival, we will be screening the 1960 Italian horror Black Sunday starring Barbara Steele and directed by Mario Bava.

Loosely based on the novel ‘Viy’ by Nikolai Gogol, Black Sunday sees a vengeful witch and her fiendish servant return from the grave and begin a bloody campaign to possess the body of the witch’s beautiful lookalike descendant. Only the girl’s brother and a handsome doctor stand in her way.

Please note: This screening takes place in the Great Hall of Newcastle Castle Keep which is unfortunately inaccessible to wheelchair users.
