The Butcher's Bill: Alphabetti Theatre

This Event has passed

Canny Craic Theatre Co Ltd present The Butcher's Bill on 20th and 21st June 2018 at the Alphabetti Theatre in Newcastle.

Telling a tale of two deserters hiding in No Man's Land during 1916: a shell shocked young man and a crafty old soldier. A wounded officer crawls in. The first two are trying to flee south to escape; the officer, who knows he will lose his leg, wants to get back to his regiment. All want to escape the war. All have seen too much death and destruction: all have seen their family, friends and comrades die.

Survival; sacrifice; comradeship and black comedy? Yes! But savagery is lurking.
