Enjoy a rare opportunity to explore Newcastle’s amazing Assembly House with this free Heritage Open Days tour.
Hosted by Newcastle Arts Centre, this fascinating tour will reveal the unassuming building’s rich history – from its role as a seat of civic power in the 17th century to being the site of Newcastle composer Charles Avison’s first public conscription concert in the 18th century.
You’ll also learn how Assembly House has acted as an events venue and occasional film set, plus the exciting plans to set in place to restore this architectural treasure.
