Newcastle Building Society is the largest building society in the North East and the 8th largest mutual in the UK, with 27 branches around the region and assets of over £3.6bn. We’ve been around for over 150 years, so we’re a name you can trust.
Our primary focus is our members and we aim to provide a great range of mortgage, savings and insurance products, which is supported by excellent customer service. Additionally, we offer financial advice through our Newcastle Financial Advisers Limited division*.

Being mutual also means we are committed to helping the wider community in a variety of ways. Through the Newcastle Building Society Community Fund at the Community Foundation, we make grants available to a range of causes our customers wish to support across our branch network.
Opening hours
With financial products becoming more complex and many banks and building societies pulling out of the market we think that providing accessible, affordable and approachable financial advice is vital. Therefore the advice centres are open longer to offer face to face advice at times which will suit workers in Newcastle, or even those who are just visiting the city on an evening.
