There are endless events, shows, artists, celebrations, talks and much more coming to our City for 2018. We thought we would round up a couple of our favourites that are on their way in so that you can grab your tickets now!
Hedda Gabler
13-17 February 2018
Head to the Theatre Royal for the gritty and invigorating production of Hedda Gabler. Join newlyweds Hedda and Tesman as they return home from their honeymoon with cracks already breaking in their new relationship. Watch the world around them as it unravels in this thrilling masterpiece by Olivier Award-winning playwright Patrick Marber and Tony Award®-winner director Ivo van Hove.

Chinese New Year

Celebrate the ‘Year of the Dog’ this February as the stunning parade returns to NE1 including: dragon and unicorn dances, a traditional lion, flag wavers, themed floats and inspiring drumming. NE1 are rounding up 50 lucky volunteers to take part in the parade as individuals or as a group. Costumes and training will be provided prior to the parade that will weave through the city on Sunday 18th February following the New Year celebrations on Friday 16th. There are no age restrictions or requirements - just come along and enjoy the glittering parade as part of the drumming or dancing troupes.
