1. HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING (HIIT)
A high intensity workout in a short period of time - so if you're working out around a busy schedule, there's no excuse!
2. RESISTANCE TRAINING
Lifting medium-heavy loads between 8-15 reps is the best form of exercise for mega muscle mass!
3. TRAINING PARTNER
Find a buddy and get fit together! This is one of the most powerful tools as it will increase motivation and will add a bit of fun to your workouts.
4. COMPOUND EXERCISES
Deadlifts, squats, bench press etc. - multi-joint exercises which work several muscles, giving you the biggest bang for your buck!
5. REST
The part we all love, but sometimes forget! Rest is important guys...
6. PROTEIN
Protein is vital for muscle growth and repair. Get this through food or shakes.
7. BALANCED DIET
Getting sufficient calories and a balance of each macronutrient (protein, fats and carbs). This will ensure you have a balanced diet and enough calories to fuel your workout.
8. CONSISTENCY/ADHERENCE
Without consistency and adherence, you’re setting yourself up for failure! You must be consistent and understand that this is not a sprint, it is a marathon!
