Monday 4 June
TV’s favourite choirmaster, Gareth Malone, is taking to the Toon this June in a must-see gig at the Sage. Gareth is set to curate an evening of music that matters to him, bringing the rulers of British Close Harmony, The Swingles, back to the stage. Gareth and his choirs will be showcasing new songs written specially for this tour, alongside well-known classics such as ‘Fields of Gold’, ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ and ‘Superstition’. Songs you all know and love - in a way you have never heard them before!
JAMES BAY
Tuesday 5 June
‘Hold Back The River’ singer, James Bay, is in town this June for a must-see gig at Newcastle’s O2 Academy. He’s touring with his much-anticipated second album, Electric Light, which is the follow-up to his internationally-acclaimed, BRIT and Ivor-winning, triple Grammy nominated debut album, Chaos & The Calm. His set list includes: ‘Wild Love’, ‘In My Head’, ‘I Found You’ and ‘Sugar Drunk High’.

WARMER DAYS FESTIVAL 2018

A summer of sensational music fixtures continues this June with the Warmer Days Festival 2018! Our friends at Boiler Shop and World HQ will play host to the first edition of this two-day festival bringing together the best of underground electronic music. This fabulously feel-good event will focus on our favourite world-renowned disco, house and techno artists, with some truly incredible names confirmed for both the day and night parties from 4.30pm until 11pm at Boiler Shop, moving on to World HQ until 5am!
RATTLE SNAKE

A chance meeting with one man changes the lives of two women forever. Now, they both live trying to predict the unpredictable. Rattle Snake tells the moving tale based on the real life stories of women who have faced and survived coercive controlling domestic abuse. See the play at Newcastle’s Live Theatre from Tuesday 5 June - Saturday 9 June. A mesmerising and thought provoking piece that will grip you from start to finish.
WORLD CUP LIVE FROM TIMES SQUARE

World Cup 2018 Live From Times Square will see all 52 games broadcast on a big screen. The site can hold up to 2,500 people and is set to be the region’s largest beer garden as the summer sporting spectacular unfolds live from Russia. Football fans can expect special treats including guest appearances from England and NUFC legend, Peter Beardsley, who will be heading to Times Square before England’s first game against Tunisia on Monday 18 June. The ultimate footy-fuelled beer garden will feature an artificial turf, craft ales, street food vendors and official merchandise stalls where you can go all out with shirts and scarves while flying flags and sounding klaxons!

Multi-platinum singer-songwriter, Demi Lovato, is swinging by the Metro Radio Arena as part of her European tour this June. In 2017 she released her first single ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ and since then, she’s skyrocketed to success, flying straight to the top of the charts. Her sixth studio album, Tell Me You Love Me, debuted at number one on iTunes in 37 countries in September, and she’s hitting the road this summer to share her tunes with fans across the country.
