The Halloween programme kicks off on Saturday 26 October where – from 3.30pm until 5pm – visitors can enjoy a bottomless brunch.

Along with endless drinks, the brunch includes loaded nachos and tacos, along with a DJ, music and games with prizes for the winners.

The extravaganza continues on Halloween itself on 31 October, when the weekly Gringo’s Bingo will get a distinctly spooky them.

And the earlier events will set the scene for the El Dia De Los Meurtos – Day of the Dead – themed party on 2 November, which will be headlined by celebrated musicians - The Doritos Mariachi band.

The band – who have supported everyone from Rod Stewart to Michael Bublé and are widely recognised after featuring on the Doritos tv adverts– played at Motel Mexicana’s opening and were a massive draw.

And now they’re back once again to play live at the party – which will also include a free frozen margarita on arrival for all guests.

Matt Smyth, one of the co-owners of Motel Mexicana believe it’s going to be a week not to be missed.

“The Day of the Dead celebrations in Mexico are recognised worldwide and we are going to be recreating the magic of that event here in Newcastle,” he said.

“We are delighted to be bringing back the Doritos Mariachi band which are one of the top bands of their kind in the country and were loved by everyone who saw them the last time they were at Motel Mexicana.

“We’re looking forward to a week packed with excitement, fun and a really authentic take on what is an iconic time of year.”
