Last Chance to Win a Trip to Lapland at Newcastle Christmas Village

One lucky North East family can still step into Christmas with an extra special gift – a magical trip to Lapland.

So far nobody has purchased the special limited edition Newcastle Christmas festive mug which has inside a special gold mark, which entitles the buyer to an amazing family trip for four to Lapland on 20 December 2025.

And now EVNT Inspirations, which has worked with Newcastle City Council and NE1 to deliver this year’s Newcastle Christmas Village, has revealed that the £3000 prize must be won in the next 48 hours.

EVNT Inspirations has joined forces with Hays Travel, the UK’s largest independent travel agent, to offer the amazing special trip, flying from Teesside airport, which includes a sleigh ride through the woods and an audience with Santa.

And anyone intending to visit the market at Old Eldon Square or Moosenwirt - the pop-up Alpine bar on Grey Street or The North Pole – the igloo pods near Grey’s Monument this weekend, can still be in with a chance to buy one of the keepsake mugs – and look for the elusive gold mark.

“So far nobody has received the special mug but we are confident it will go this weekend.” said Nigel Holliday, one of the directors of EVNT Inspirations.

“And it will make someone’s Christmas absolutely extra special.”

The mugs – which cost £5 each – are available at Moosenwirt, North Pole and at the Newcastle’s Christmas Village, along with the drinks “huttes” at Grainger Street and the booking office at Old Eldon Square.

There is also still time for families to enjoy all of the activities.

Entry to the Christmas Village is free but there are costs for the individual elements. For further information and to book for any sessions or for the North Pole pods at Grey’s Monument visit www.moosenwirt.co.uk.
