Khai Khai is on the Hunt for a Digital Marketing Manager

Since opening its doors in late 2020, Khai Khai has established itself as one of the city's most popular restaurants - even gaining a fan in celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay - and is now looking to further promote brand awareness, expand its customer base and drive sales through this exciting new position.

The role

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the group marketing strategy in line with the group’s business objectives, to enhance brand awareness, drive customer engagement and ultimately sales revenue. This role requires a blend of creative, strategic, and tactical expertise to effectively leverage various marketing channels and platforms.

Key accountabilities

 Marketing Strategy Development 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with overall business objectives, including but not limited to SEO, email marketing, social media, content marketing and digital marketing advertising.

Digital Marketing 

  • Website management: ensure it remains up-to-date, user-friendly, and optimised for search engines. Continuously monitor and improve website performance including traffic and engagement.
  • Brand management: Manage and enhance the company’s brand image and identity across all marketing channels. Ensure brand consistency in messaging, design, tone of voice, and customer experience to strengthen brand equity and customer loyalty.
  • Content creation: Create engaging and relevant content across various digital channels including website, blogs, menus, social media, and email campaigns – working in partnership with the group’s graphic design team and photographer.
  • Social Media Management: implement and monitor social media strategies (predominately Instagram and TikTok) to increase brand awareness, enhance customer engagement and foster community growth. Regularly monitor and analyse social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of content/campaigns and adjust accordingly.
  • Email marketing: plan, execute and optimise email marketing campaigns to promote the businesses and drive reservations. 
  • SEO: manage search engine optimisation to improve organic search rankings and drive web traffic to websites.

Reporting and Budget Management

  • Monitor KPIs across all digital marketing channels and provide monthly performance updates to the senior management team.
  • Develop and manage digital marketing budgets effectively.

Trends and partnerships 

  • Proactively research and recommend new strategies, tools, and tactics to enhance the group’s digital presence.
  • Keep up to date with what is happening in the hospitality industry across the UK and share innovative news stories with the senior management team. 

Skills and Experience

  • Previous marketing experience as a Digital Marketing Manager in a similar role in the Hospitality sector
  • A degree in marketing, digital marketing, communications, or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in web analytics tools, CRM and marketing automation platforms, such as Google Analytics.

Competencies 

  • Analytical, highly numerate, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret the data and generate actionable insights.
  • Confidence to bring new approaches and innovation to the table.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Teamwork is essential. Working alongside the senior management team and the broader business.

Salary

  • £32,000P/A - £36,000P/A subject to experience.
