The Hoppings Is Finding a New Way to Be a Big Draw…

Europ’s largest travelling fair is offering young would-be artists the opportunity to enjoy a VIP visit – by showcasing their drawing talent.

The Hoppings arrives at Newcastle’s Town Moor for a ten day visit on Friday 21 June, with hundreds of rides, attractions and sideshows.

And this year for the first time the event will include a display of young people’s artwork on a Hoppings theme, with the opportunity for the best entry to win a fantastic day out.

Young people under the age of 18 are being asked to draw something which represents a personal experience of The Hoppings – which could be anything from eating a candy floss to having a spin on a favourite ride.

They are then being asked to take a picture of the drawing or painting and upload it via The Hoppings’ website – which will need to be authorised by a parent or guardian – along with their contact details.

All of the artwork will go on display at the event, with the person who creates the best piece -judged by The Hoppings organisers – receiving a package of goodies including free ride tickets and vouchers for food and drink.

The entries can be uploaded at https://hoppingsfunfairs.com/competition-2024/ with June 14 the deadline for entries.

Ryan Crow of Crow Events – which organises the Hoppings – said he hoped lots of youngsters would take part.

We are always wanting to add new elements every year to get the local community more involved with The Hoppings,” he said.

This is a great way for children of all ages to show what The Hoppings means to them and then be able to come and see their artwork on display.

We can’t wait to see what they will produce.
