Henning Wehn to Bring Hilarious Climate Change Comedy Show, Acid Wehn, to Newcastle this Autumn
Award-deserving German Comedy Ambassador Henning Wehn will take an unbiased look at climate change, a topic sure to delight audiences, this November at the Tyne Theatre & Opera House.
When has taken on the self-imposed responsibility of ‘German Comedy Ambassador’ ever since he came to the UK in the early 2000s. Initially moving to the United Kingdom to improve his English, he decided to stay in the country and teach the Brits a thing or two about German humour. Whilst there is a common misconception that Germans don’t have a sense of humour, Wehn does not appreciate this sentiment.
The comedian has been on the UK comedy circuit for over a decade, and has made regular TV appearances, such as on 8 Out of 10 Cats, Have I Got News For You, QI and many more. In his comedy, he frequently discusses German stereotypes and odd British idioms. His upcoming show, aptly named Acid Wehn, focuses on the weather – after all, everyone loves talking about the weather, right?
Jonathan Higgins, CEO of the Tyne Theatre & Opera House exclaims, “It’s very exciting to have Henning Wehn join our incredible 2025 lineup. Our comedy shows are always very popular, and you can see all of our offerings on our website, with many more to be announced throughout the year.”
Tickets cost £29.50 – £23.50 (16+ recommended) and can be purchased from: https://www.tynetheatreandoperahouse.uk/whatson/henning-wehn-acid-wehn/
