The Cluny is proud to announce their first annual Rubber Duck Race, as part of this years Ouseburn Festival!
Taking place on Sunday 7th July, it will feature up to 100 competitors fighting it out for the sure-to-be-highly-coveted Golden Duck trophy, currently being expertly crafted at a secret location somewhere on the banks of the Ouseburn.
The race will start at 1pm sharp from the bridge behind The Ship Inn, and the first duck home will be declared the winner.
The rubber ducks are as we speak flying towards the Cluny and will be arriving and on-sale from Saturday 15th June. Entry is just £2, with all profits going to The Clunys good neighbours at the Ouseburn Farm.
Cluny manager Julian Ive said: All The Cluny staff eagerly await the new duckling arrivals on the Ouseburn each spring, so a rubber duck race seemed like the next logical step! Plus it gives us a chance to support not just The Ouseburn Festival and the Farm, but the wider Ouseburn community as a whole, of which we are a very proud member.
