For foodies with a conscience, there's no better event this October than the Fareshare North East Banquet at Blackfriars!
It's a banquet feast with a difference because Blackfriars are joining forces with food redistribution charity FareShare North East and food education social enterprise Nourish Food School to offer a mouth-watering meal while raising awareness of food poverty and landfill issues.
A delicious three-course communal meal made from surplus in-date food will be served in Blackfriars' medieval Banquet Hall, along with a welcome aperitif from Discarded Spirits who make rums and vodkas using leftover fruit.
The best part? Every single penny raised will go to FareShare North East so they can do more good work in the region!
