One of Newcastles most historic buildings is being transformed into a brand new city centre venue as a contemporary gin and draft house. The Grade II listed building, formerly the Old Turks hotel in High Bridge, will open next month as Pleased to Meet You, creating 40 jobs, following a lavish refurbishment.
Pleased to Meet You is planning to stock more than 50 types of gin on the bar alongside a wide range of local and international craft beers, cocktails, spirits and hand-pulled cask ales paired with quality locally sourced food served with a theatrical presentation. Work has begun on restoring the façade which will open out on to the street with large bi folding doors and the inside is being completely redesigned, opening 31st of May .
