The rugby league summer party is back in the Toon - bringing sport, sunshine and guaranteed good times to the city once again!
This two-day festival for the whole family is held at St James’ Park, swapping football for Rugby League in a sensational sporting clash as some of the Betfred Super League’s biggest teams go head to head.
Thousands of rugby fans will flood to NE1 from all over Europe to spectate as the Dacia Magic Weekend takes centre stage once again.
We’re expecting another action-packed weekend of rugby-fuelled festival fun, with live music, fancy dress, food, drinks and nail-biting fixtures! The carnival-style party kicks off outside the stadium, with a big party spreading festival vibes on Strawberry Place.
Magic Weekend ticket holders are then invited to spend nine hours celebrating and spectating inside St James’ Park on Saturday and Sunday. Four games will take place on Saturday, and three fixtures will kick off on Sunday afternoon - with an additional fixture between Newcastle Thunder and Bradford Bulls on Friday 18 May at Kingston Park Stadium.
There’s no need to leave anyone at home, as this is a sensational summer sporting event for the whole family to enjoy. We can't think of a better way to kickstart a summer of fun in NE1.
