In case you’ve missed the memo, STACK has made a welcome return to the toon this month with the opening of its new venue, just a stones throw from St. James.

So, if you’re curious to know a little more, then join us for a whistle-stop tour around the venue!
Starting downstairs, you’ll find the Anthems bar. Paying homage to all the usual footy tunes, you can easily score a drink here – but you can also pick from the Toon Kit Room, Local Hero and Wor Bar downstairs too, while Crowd Cantina and Pravha are just upstairs.
If you’re familiar with STACK already, then you’ll know that it’s a paradise for foodies. St James’ STACK is no exception, with Grainger Market-based Bao Down and Acropolis bringing everything from gyros to gyozas to the venue. Anyone else’s stomach rumbling?
Meanwhile, from Holy Duck (yes, you read that right!) expect mouth-watering wraps and spring rolls – while its neighbour ZZA Pizzeria will be dishing up delicious freshly made pizzas to enjoy.
Straight from Jesmond and Tynemouth comes Brack Burger, and its smashed burgers and loaded fries are a hit for a reason! There’s options for veggies here too, with its “grown not born” selection including the likes of “The V.G.” and “Halloumi Heaven”.
Kicking the fiesta up a gear next door is Davey’s Mexicano with its signature tacos, loaded nachos and even Mexican Ramen. We’re sure that anyone with a sweet tooth will be happy with a delicious Biscoff and cinnamon churro from here too…
Dabbawal are newbies to the STACK scene, bringing their much-beloved Indian street food to one of the iconic containers. Called OK Please! This latest stage in Dabbawal’s journey is dishing up fresh food from its stone-fired stone grill, lunch meal deals, and an express match day menu so you don’t have to miss the action.
For fresh and authentic Chinese and Thai street food, look no further than Tiptop! They’re opening for the first time in St James’ STACK, serving up Asian inspired noodle and rice dishes.
Festival-goers might recognize barbeque experts Texas Smoker, but now they’ve got a place to call home all-year round with a STACK container. From a chipotle chicken stack to chilli cheese nachos, this meaty menu has plenty to pick from.
And last, but by no means least, STACK newcomers Soju & Gogu round out St James fantastic foodie offerings. Whether you’re familiar with their Korean BBQ restaurant down Dean Street, or their Express stand in Grainger Market, their Korean Street food is definitely not to be missed.
