Jon Robson’s Psychopath Night @ Tyne Theatre & Opera House
Exploring madness, rationality and – you guessed it – the curious mind of a psychopath, Jon Robson’s ground-breaking work The Psychopath Test released fifteen years ago. Now, the journalist, filmmaker and author arrives at Tyne Theatre & Opera House to reminisce on his work, alongside some mystery special guests too! So if you’ve ever worried your mate might be a psychopath… maybe head along to Tyne Theatre this October and just double check.

Grab your lederhosen and dirndls for the unbeatable Bavarian bash that is Oktoberfest! Beloved by beer-drinkers and bratwurst-eaters alike, some of Europe’s best oompah bands will also be providing the beats to slosh your steins too. Following the story of two Gateshead lads who’re desperate to get their hands on Newcastle United season tickets, Gerry & Sewell is bringing the Wor Flags to the Theatre Royal stage this October. Bill Ward (Coronation Street), Michelle Heaton (Liberty X) and Project A alum Erin Mullen join the original cast – making this a production you’ll definitely want tickets for. Almost as much as Gerry and Sewell want those season tickets…

Saint Maud @ Live Theatre
Horror fans – listen up. If you loved Rose Glass’ award-winning 2019 film Saint Maud, then you’re going to love Live Theatre’s adaptation. Following the story of a devout nurse’s obsession with saving her patient’s soul, Saint Maud is brought to the stage this month by Sunderland writer Jessica Andrews (Saltwater, Milk Teeth). Taking a scarier step, you can also expect to hear seasonally spooky stories read by North East writers like Eliza Clark and Benjamin Myers – setting the scene before you’re transported to the seaside town of Saint Maud. Filey Bay Whisky Dinner @ Dobson & Parnell
