Meat:Stack, Groat Market
Meat:Stack (pictured abiove) started way back in 2016 on the Newcastle Quayside Sunday Market scene, and the rest, as they say, is history! These cheeseburger connoisseurs have plenty to pick from – whether you’re after one of their classic quarter pounder burgers, or fancy digging into some filthy fries, complete with blue cheese and crispy onions. Working in town? Head to Groat Market to grab a lunchbox between 11am – 3pm for a single burger, beef dripping fries, chicken tender and selected soft drink for just £10.95 and make the whole office jealous!
I Scream for Pizza, Quayside
I Scream for Pizza continues its search for the holy grail of zero flop slices with its convenient Quayside location. Classic 14” and huge 20” pizza pies are always on the menu, and there’s their signature soft serve sundaes for anyone with a sweet tooth to satisfy as well! From Monday to Friday (between 11:30am – 2pm) there’s a lunch deal offer worth taking advantage of too, offering a large slice and soft drink for just a fiver.

King Baby Bagels, Grainger Market
Unless you’ve been living under an actual rock, you’ll know that King Baby Bagels is practically Grainger Market royalty now, dishing up fresh bagels and hot coffee throughout the week. Pick up the Baby RU for the perfect mix of pastrami, sauerkraut, grilled cheese and sauce – or the O.G. for some smoked salmon lox, tomatoes and cream cheese goodness. Their bagels are huge and all under a tenner, so you’ll be getting your pennies worth!
The Little Dumpling House, Ridley Place
Meanwhile, over on Ridley Place, The Little Dumpling House serves up a mouth-watering array of steaming hot dumplings, bao buns and Chinese burgers to dig into. This small but mighty venue has plenty of choices, so why not take a trip with some colleagues and work your way through the menu together?

Square, Market Street
Or, if its some good old fashioned Detroit style pizza you’re after, then head to Square. This Market Street staple serves up loads of different varieties from the classic Red Top (three cheese house blend, slow cooked red sauce and whipped ricotta flowers) to the Bada Bing (fennel and garlic sausage, pepperoni, candied jalapenos) for around six quid per slice. And there’s vegan options too, so no-one has to miss out!
All Bar One, Grey Street
Whether you’ve got a long lunch meeting, or need a spot to catch-up with pals over some good grub, All Bar One is always a decent shout. Grab a booth and take advantage of their lunch deal where you’ll enjoy any lunch dish with a drink for just £12.50. Fancy a pint or 175ml glass of house wine with that? It’s just another £1.50! Available Monday to Friday from 12pm – 5pm, it’s ideal for anyone with a busy schedule to work around.

Priory Press, Nelson Street
Since opening their new Nelson Street store, Tynemouth legends Priory Press have quickly become firm favourites in the city centre! This juice bar serves up way more than smoothies and fresh pressed juices, including shakes, matcha, pressed sandwiches and acai bowls. Their food menu is all under ten pounds, so you’ll have change to spare on one of their delicious drinks too.
Slug & Lettuce, Grainger Street
You might think of the Slug & Lettuce as one of the party centrals in town, but until 4pm from Monday to Friday, they bring the good vibes to lunchtimes with their £8 deal. Including a sandwich, burger or light bite, and soft drink, there’s something for anyone on the menu – including veggie and vegan options too. Celebrating? Make it premium with your choice from their selection of alcoholic drinks for an extra couple of quid.
