Get Ready For NE1's Newcastle Restaurant Week!

NE1's iconic Newcastle Restaurant Week returns August 8th - 14th, with over 100 of the city's finest eateries taking part. 

January’s Restaurant Week – the first since 2020 – was the most successful yet, with over 45,000 happy diners and a much-needed £600k boost for the restaurant industry, which was so hard hit over the pandemic. Now it’s time for the summer incarnation!

Once again, some of Newcastle’s finest restaurants are offering some brilliant deals, giving you the chance to revisit some old favourites or try out somewhere new for the first time, and with the restaurant scene as healthy as it’s ever been, there’s a huge amount of choice. (Did you know Newcastle has more independent restaurants per capita than any other city outside London?)

This time there’s over 100 restaurants taking part, and alongside some of Newcastle’s veritable restaurant institutions like Blackfriars, 21, Dabbawal and the rest, who’ve been involved since the first Restaurant Week back in January 2011, there are plenty of extremely appealing newcomers: let’s welcome Grey Owl, Hugo’s, The Real Greek, Victors, The Bake, and Burger Eat Shake Repeat!

With menus priced at £10, £15 and £20, and including everything from a selection of tapas or brunch dishes right up to three-course meals, there’s definitely something to suit every budget AND every palate. So whether you like the look of Blackfriars' 2 course lunch offer (the dry-aged rump of beef looks amazing), newcomer Hugo's two courses for £15 (with some especially tempting monkfish on offer), or want to try Kaltur's selection of tapas (3 plates for £20, and their tunafish tartar is a phenomenon), NE1's Newcastle Restaurant Week has you covered.
