Get to Know… You Are Precious Bridal

Danni has had quite the journey with You Are Precious Bridal, having started out at the boutique as a Saturday stylist and rising through the ranks as manager before taking ownership of the business in late April 2019. It’s this long-running role and the experience that comes with it that makes Danni perfectly positioned to head a team as dedicated as she is.

“My passion has grown over the years as has my company,” says Danni. “We love to inspire and empower our modern-day brides. Our collection of dresses and designer labels is always evolving along with our elevated experience and our team.”

It’s thanks to You Are Precious Bridal’s expert, close-knit team that they’re able to offer brides-to-be such an amazing service. Female-led and passionate about the work they do, the nine-person-strong team at the boutique dub themselves ‘Soul Sisters’ and each member brings their own unique flair to the company.

“We’re renowned for our service and the team are full of style and substance bringing the energy to each and every bride’s experience in finding their dream dress,” adds Danni. “Our team works across our three bridal stores to ensure the same level of experience is matched throughout.”

Speaking of those three bridal stores, You Are Precious has expanded rapidly over the past couple of years. In early 2021, they opened sister studio Sisters of Grace on Shakespeare Street which offers bridalwear with a bohemian twist – what Danni describes as a “free-spirited, Scandi aesthetic.”

In the autumn of 2022, You Are Precious made the move to its new home in a gorgeous townhouse on Higham Place – something that Danni and the team are very excited about.

“We’d been searching for a couple of years for our dream bridal space where we could blossom further for our brides and take our offerings and services to an even higher level,” she explains. “Our Higham Place bridal townhouse is the perfect match.”

The team incorporated a luxurious, chic aesthetic into the Grade II-listed, Georgian townhouse while also retaining and paying respect to its historical character.

“We managed to bring back to life key features such as its original floorboards and its beautiful sash windows,” says Danni. “We added a palette of fresh whites, olive hues and natural woods and personal touches in the form of furniture passed down by my late grandparents including our family heirloom Singer sewing machine.”

Their new bridal townhouse also enabled You Are Precious to set up its Love Above Curve Bridal Lounge which specialises in plus-size dresses and is dedicated to empowering curvier brides.

“We’ve handpicked styles from our existing designers’ collections that accentuate curves in all the right places without compromising on modern bridal design,” describes Danni. “Our Love Above lounge is filled with samples in sizes 18-32 and one of the designer edits can be ordered up to a UK size 40. It’s the only dedicated studio of its kind in the North East and offers a relaxed, private bridal experience.”

These recent expansions mean the services You Are Precious and its sister brands offer future brides are second to none. Customers can expect a range of modern, chic, feminine and romantic bridal styles by labels including Maggie Sottero, Savin London, Madi Lane, Allure Couture and Jeune Bridal which are priced between £1,200 and £3,800. A number of ‘Limited Edition’ sample dresses are sold too and ready to take home the same day. Ranging from £650 to £2,500, they’re ideal for brides with closer wedding dates or tight budgets.

The bridal boutique also offers a number of additional services that elevate the dress shopping experience. Their ‘Meet Your Match’ experience, for example, offers exclusive hire of the townhouse for brides and up to five VIP guests with brunch, fizz and sweet treats while the ‘Aisle Ready’ experience offers an on-the-day dressing service for brides, bridesmaids and other bridal party members that ensures their big day is relaxed and stress-free.

It’s personal touches like these that set You Are Precious apart from its competitors and have helped establish them as one of Newcastle’s most popular bridal boutiques.
