We’re so excited to get the festivities underway with the much-loved Chinese New Year Parade! The stunning display will twist its way through the hustle and bustle of the city centre, meandering from Old Eldon Square, snaking under the Chinese Arch and floating along Stowell Street, before finishing up on Bath Lane, where the fun will continue.
Stowell Street will once again be at the heart of this cultural celebration in NE1 - the perfect spot for spectators to gather and soak up the atmosphere as the day goes on. Visitors can expect dazzling dragon dancing, flag-waving, eye-catching floats, marvellous musicians and a sparkling parade as the streets come alive to celebrate the Year of the Rat.
The local Chinese community is responsible for one of most bustling and best-loved parts of town and what better way to enjoy this incredible area than immersing yourself during Chinese New Year! We’re celebrating this special spot in our city by guiding you through some of the best bits along the parade route...
