One of the most recent additions to Newcastle’s growing vintage store community, Tender Hooligan opened its doors in Grainger Market in late 2023. Owned by Jenn Gray and Adam Gordon, two friends who met working at the market’s former Scorpio Shoes store, the shop specialises in the kind of subculture fashion made popular by mods and skinheads – think brands like Fred Perry, Ben Sherman and Dr Martens.
The Yesterday Society, Grainger Market
The Yesterday Society’s proprietor Rachael is a self-confessed vintage clothing lover and flamboyant overdresser, and what started as a dream job discussion became a reality back in 2013.
