10 Newcastle Restaurants With Wow Interiors
As we are now able to return to our favourite restaurants, we’ve rounded up some of the city centre spots with swoon-worthy interiors. Check out our pick of 10 top Toon restaurants for those perfect Insta moments...
MARCO POLO
They’ve applied the last lick of paint and our friends at Marco Polo are open as of Thursday 20 May! Back with a brand new look and a delightful new menu, we can’t wait to check in for something delicious. Expect to see everything from funky colour schemes to geo designs and a dazzling new bar area for cocktail-sipping with our chums.
LOLA JEANS
We can’t wait to be back at Lola Jeans, tucking into burgers and beautiful cocktail concoctions. With exposed woodwork, shabby chic furnishings and wall art worthy of its own gallery, there’s no better place to catch up with friends and enjoy great food and drinks with a picture-perfect Insta backdrop!
DABBAWAL
Dabbawal is the stylish street food kitchen we all know and love, and we’re over the moon to be returning to one of our favourite city centre Indian restaurants in the coming days. Sleek design paired with punchy, Punjabi flavours - it’s a match made in heaven!
HIBOU BLANC
This High Bridge haven is back in business with indoor dining from 17 May, and while we’ve been enjoying the Med vibes of the outdoor terrace, we can’t wait to get back inside and take in the dreamy interiors. Think plush dining booths, a gloriously grand bar sitting at the centre, and refined, white-tablecloth dining. Perfection!
HARD ROCK CAFE
Ready to rock? The opening of Newcastle’s Hard Rock Cafe is here and we can’t wait to get inside and see what the fuss is all about. Complete with the ‘Rock Shop’ and the star-studded interiors that give the restaurant its name, it’s certainly going to be the place to be when it comes to hanging out by the Quayside this summer!
BANYAN
There’s no better spot to while away the hours with a cocktail (or three!), enjoy good-for-the-soul food and take in the beauty of Grey Street and beyond! Boasting everything from beautiful private dining rooms, to a sparkling bar area and a Pinterest-worthy flower wall, this is a pretty-as-a-picture spot to catch up with pals.
LEILA LILY’S
Al fresco afternoons on Leila Lily’s terrace have been an absolute treat in recent weeks, but we can’t wait to book a table inside and take in the gorgeous interiors. With a flower-festooned bar area, whimsical wallpaper and beautiful booths to sit back, relax and indulge, this is a place sure to make you feel worlds away from your kitchen table!
THE MUDDLER
Low-lit, dark, deep colours and a sleek and stylish atmosphere, The Muddler is the perfect date night spot as we venture back out for indoor dining this month. The grand, Great Gatsby vibes whisk you away to a New York City speakeasy, while the delicious Pan-Asian menu takes you to exotic locations with lip-smackingly good flavour. An absolute must-visit this May!
NO.28
We were delighted to hear the news that Zucchini are sticking around, serving perfect pasta dishes from the No.28 kitchens for the foreseeable, and we can’t wait to return for a feel-good feast. If it’s not the mouthwatering meals that blow you away here, it’s the dazzling decor. Think fairy lights, dark, moody interiors and beautiful blooms everywhere you turn!
HORTICULTURE
Horticulture is high up on our foodie to-do list, and we can’t wait to see what the team has in store when it comes to food, drinks and the look and feel of the place. Complete with twinkling roof lights, Scandi-style interiors and vibrant food to match, you are guaranteed good times at this Market Lane favourite!
