Tup Tup Palace Celebrates the MOBOs with After Show
Newcastle's top night club will be continuing the party with its own tribute to a top award ceremony.
Next week (Tues 18 February) the iconic MOBO Awards is being held at the city’s Utilita Arena, featuring performers such as Krept & Konan, Bashy, Spice and the Nova Twins.
And to pay homage to the arrival of the prestigious event in the North East, Tup Tup Palace is planning a post-awards night to remember, with special guest sets from BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Kenny Allstar and Gumball 3000’s CJ Beatz.
Tuesday nights at Tup Tup have become legendary, thanks to it hosting LoveDough, Newcastle’s longest running weekly club night and which features the very best in Hip Hop and RnB.
The brand has become so successful that LoveDough events have been held in more than 40 cities across 10 countries, hosting artistes including Kanye West, A$AP Rocky, Skepta, Miguel, Little Simz and Charlie XCX.
And now regulars or newcomers can enjoy some of the best music from around the globe at this special night.
“We couldn’t let something as important as the MOBOs taking place in Newcastle pass without paying homage to them,” said Matt Smyth of Tup Tup Palace.
“We know that lots of people will be attending the event and will be on such a high they won’t want to stop the party so we’re hoping they’ll come straight to LoveDough at Tup Tup Palace and have an amazing night.
