Rudy's Pizza Napoletana Newcastle Set to Open Before Christmas
Rudy's Pizza Napoletana has announced it will be opening the doors of its much-anticipated Newcastle restaurant on Saturday 21st December, bringing its fan favourite true Neapolitan pizza to the new Grey Street site in time for Christmas.
Opening in the midst of the festive celebrations, the new pizzeria will showcase Rudy’s effortlessly attentive hospitality and minimalist signature style, in a spacious 2,500 square-foot unit with approximately 100 covers for dining.
In anticipation of the opening, thousands of local pizza lovers have already secured themselves a free pizza through the Rudy’s Pizza on Us giveaway, which sees 3,000 free pizzas given to Rudy’s fans who sign up via a QR code on the restaurant’s hoardings.
Since launching in 2015, Rudy’s has grown from one restaurant in Manchester to almost 30 pizzerias nationwide. The Newcastle pizzeria marks the restaurant’s sixth opening of the year and second in the Northeast area, following the popularity of the Durham restaurant, which opened in December last year.
Commenting on the new opening, Neal Bates of Rudy’s Newcastle said: “We're delighted to announce the opening of our Newcastle restaurant just in time for the Christmas season, offering a perfect venue for festive gatherings and celebrations long into the new year.
“Whether you’re popping into the city centre for some last-minute Christmas shopping, heading to the nearby Theatre Royal to see the panto, or treating yourself to a relaxed meal out to fend off the January blues, we’re here to provide a slice of Naples right here in Newcastle.”
Born out of passion for pizza, Rudy’s follows the authentic Neapolitan tradition of pizza-making, serving classic recipes such as Marinara, Margherita and Calabrese – all originating from Naples, the birthplace of pizza, alongside paying homage to famous pizzerias around the globe with its rotating specials.
Whilst pizzas are a key part of Rudy’s, it wouldn’t be a traditional Naples experience without a well-stocked bar which is why visitors will also be able to wash down their food with iconic Italian spritzes, crisp Italian and local lagers, and classic stirred cocktails.
