Peter Pan and Colourful Characters from Neverland to Bring a Touch of Magic to Life’s Outdoor Ice Rink
Life’s open air ice rink will get a sprinkle of pixie dust when stars from the Peter Pan production at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House take to the ice.
Peter Pan, played by former Dancing on Ice and Eastenders star Matt Lapinskas, will lead the line-up at the Times Square rink on Friday (24 November). He will be joined by entertainer Lewis Denny, who plays Mrs Smee in the panto production and Micky Cochrane who plays Captain Hook.
Life’s outdoor ice rink – made with real ice – is an established part of the festive calendar in the city and is open until 7 January, providing skaters of all ages and abilities with the ultimate festive experience.
Matt, who was runner-up in the TV series Dancing on Ice, explained he was looking forward to dusting down his blades and displaying his skating skills on the ice rink.
He said: "I'm thrilled to be playing Peter Pan at Tyne Theatre and Opera House in Newcastle. While I'm up here, I can't wait to hit the ice at Life Science Centre’s outdoor rink.
“The joy of skating is something I cherish, and I'm eagerly looking forward to gliding on the ice and experiencing the magic of both stage and ice in this incredible city."
Separate charges apply for the ice rink and online booking is recommended. For more details visit https://www.life.org.uk/whats-on/special-christmas-events/
