Nicholson’s Pub Collection and Stroud Brewery partner to celebrate Organic September and Cask Ale Week with exclusive GAIA Beer
This September, Nicholson’s Pub Collection will join forces with the award-winning organic brewery, Stroud Brewery, to launch an exclusive limited edition beer in time for Organic September and Cask Ale Week. Named after the Greek goddess of Earth, GAIA is a brand new, 100% organic pale ale that will be available for a limited time across all 81 sites of Nicholson’s iconic British pubs.
Stroud Brewery is renowned for making outstanding beer whilst supporting farming practices that foster a healthy natural environment and benefit local communities. Joining forces to inspire positive change, both Nicholson’s Pub Collection and Stroud Brewery will participate in the Soil Association’s annual campaign, Organic September, that raises awareness about the benefits of organic farming and encourages more people to choose organic products.
The collaboration will be a part of Organic September’s Tap Takeover which celebrates pubs, bars and hospitality venues choosing to support “people and planet-friendly pints”. Available throughout the month, the launch of GAIA will put Nicholson’s pubs firmly on the map while an organic beer and seasonal rotation will be available on an on-going basis.
Speaking of the collaboration, Managing Director of Stroud Brewery, Greg Pilley stated, “We are delighted to team up with Nicholson’s Pub Collection on the launch of GAIA. Offering customers an organic beer is a straightforward way to meet consumer demand for purchasing with purpose, and positively support the countryside and the farmers who help maintain a thriving countryside that everyone can enjoy.”
The announcement also ties in with the nationwide Cask Ale Week (19th-29th September 2024), the annual opportunity for pubs and breweries to encourage customers to try and promote real ale through a variety of events, activities and partnerships throughout the week. The celebration is supported by the major trade organisations, brewers and pub groups as well as The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).
Operations Director, Will Prideaux, comments, “Here at Nicholson’s Pubs, we are staunch supporters of cask ale. Partnering with the likes of Stroud Brewery has given us the opportunity to launch a collaborative beer, GAIA, that is 100% organic and 100% delicious! We are excited to be involved with this year’s Organic September too and join like minded people who are bringing a positive change to the industry.”
