New Menu Launched at The Herb Garden
Independent restaurant, The Herb Garden, has launched a new menu that retains some old favourites and introduces some brand new dishes to the restaurant.
Co-owner and chef, Richard Marks, has worked his magic and come up with some fantastic combinations of flavours for starters, salads, pizzas, sides, calzones and desserts, while maintaining The Herb Garden's ethos of using only the freshest locally sourced ingredients of the highest quality.
The Herb Garden's pizza classics such as the ‘Tomato, Mozzarella, Spinach, Olives, Egg, Basil, Pecorino and Garlic’ are joined – amongst others – by a mouthwatering combination of ‘Lamb Shawarma, Cherry Tomatoes, Red Onion, Chilli, Harissa, Garlic, Dill and Parsley Sauce’ pizza.
New salad mains include a classic Caesar and the imaginative ‘Roasted Carrots, Feta, Lentils, Red Onion, Mixed Leaves, Honey, Lemon and Mint’ combo.
New taste bud tingling starters include ‘Herby’s Caprese Salad’ while the sides menu welcomes the highest number of new dishes including a ‘Celeriac Gratin’, ‘Herby Potatoes’ and ‘Pizzasallad’, a Swedish slaw that complements pizza perfectly.
A beautiful ‘Rhubarb and Vanilla Cheesecake’ tops off an already extensive and imaginative dessert menu.
Ryan Darrington, co-owner of The Herb Garden said, “While we are well known for our delicious wood-fired pizza, we also offer a wide range of Mediterranean dishes, calzones, salads, breads, starters and sides.
“The new menu complements our classic pizzas and salads perfectly and brings an exciting new dimension to our menu”.
Vegans and those seeking a more plant based diet are well catered for with a new vegan friendly pizza and more side dishes on the menu, including the Instagram-worthy ‘Sweet Potato Wedges with Pomegranate, Pine Nuts and Herby Dressing’
In addition to the new menu, the ever-changing Specials Board remains.
