New Cat Cafe - Catpawcino

Catpawcino is a themed cat café on Newcastle Quayside opening with a special launch event on Sunday 27th September.
The café is the brainchild of Sarah Zong, a Newcastle University graduate who moved to Newcastle from China to study for a marketing degree. A few years after graduating and after stumbling upon a cat café on a visit back to China, Sarah decided to bring the concept to Newcastle. Finally after two years of hard work Catpawcino will be opening it’s doors for the first time. To create the brand and the café’s unique garden themed interior Sarah teamed up with local illustrator and designer Lucy Farfort and Interior Designer Krista Puranen-Wilson.
The café space is across two floors, located on the beautiful Newcastle Quayside over looking the River Tyne. On the ground floor is the garden themed ‘cat lounge’ - a sit-in café, home to 7 resident cats, where customers can eat, drink & watch the world go by whilst socializing with some delightful kitties. There will also be a drop in, feline-free basement café offering food & drink for takeaway & a super cute gift shop, scheduled for opening in the near future.
To celebrate the launch the cafe will be offering free tasters to passers by and free places to the first 25 ‘drop-in’ customers for their first opening slot at 10am – 11.30. No advance bookings will be taken for this slot and spaces will be given on a first come first served basis - so get down early. Alternatively you can book now to guarantee a place via the online booking system on thr website – catpawcino.com
