Local Newcastle Artist Arty Joe to Showcase ‘Tyneside Reverie’ Collection at INNSiDE Newcastle
INNSiDE Newcastle, part of Meliá Hotels International, has announced the arrival of ‘Tyneside Reverie,’ an exclusive art collection by acclaimed local artist Arty Joe, starting Friday, 29th November.
Whitley Bay-based artist Arty Joe brings ‘Tyneside Reverie,’ a collection of Giclee prints, canvases, and originals, capturing iconic scenes from Newcastle, Northumberland, and the North East coast. Known for his bold colour and atmospheric lighting, Joe’s works reimagine local landscapes, evoking nostalgia and regional pride.
Originally from West Yorkshire, Joe moved to the North East at eighteen and quickly found inspiration in Tyneside’s dramatic vistas and landmarks. Known for his distinctive use of colour, his works have been featured in numerous exhibitions across the North East and are held in private collections worldwide. In March, he opened his first gallery, Arty Joe Studio & Gallery in Whitley Bay, where visitors can view his entire catalogue and learn about his creative process.
The display of Arty Joe’s captivating collection at the contemporary lifestyle hotel, located on Newcastle’s historical Quayside, is part of INNSiDE Newcastle’s #StayCurious ethos – which aims to accommodate guests’ every need with considered comforts and locally inspired lifestyle experiences. By showcasing Joe’s immersive works, the hotel continues its commitment to celebrating the area’s creative talents and cultural heritage, connecting visitors to the soul of the North East.
INNSiDE Newcastle officially opened on May 17, 2021, offering a slice of continental life in the heart of the city. Since its opening, the 161 bedroom-hotel has welcomed many A-list celebrities and visiting sports teams. Located on the historical Quayside, offering breath-taking views across the River Tyne, the Open Living Lounge is the beating heart of the hotel and leads into Gino D’Acampo Quayside, the hotel’s restaurant, bar and contemporary outdoor terrace overlooking the iconic river.
Joe’s collection will be on display at INNSiDE Newcastle from 29th November until 28th February 2025.
