Hampton by Hilton Hotel Officially Launches

Last night (Thursday 25th June), Hampton by Hilton Newcastle celebrated the opening of their new hotel with  their official launch. They were joined by Mark Jenkins from Chanel 4’s The Hotel, the Mayor of Gateshead, colleagues, employees and residents from the region. The hotel was officially opened by Billie Raymond as ‘The Queen’ and guests at the party were entertained with music from soul singer Beth Macari, acoustic trio Lana & The Lost Boys, DJ Mark Rowell and Paris Percussionauts, Mark Jenkins from the hit Channel 4 Show ‘The Hotel’ and Fawlty Towers lookalikes. Paolo Franchi, General Manager at the Hampton by Hilton Newcastle, said last night: “All of the hard work that has taken place since the plans were submitted, construction started and Team Hampton moved into the hotel, has really paid off. It was an absolute pleasure to be joined by local public figures, celebrities and corporate guests in what was such a successful night raising a glass to Newcastle’s newest hotel on the block.The official opening marks a successful four months which has already welcomed 14,000 guests, exceeding their initial target figures.” Alex Mackee, Sales Manager at the Hampton by Hilton Newcastle said: “We’re delighted with the success of the Hampton and how our corporate guests have embraced the brand. It was fantastic to celebrate that success last night at our launch party”. Mark Jenkins added: “What an unbelievable evening! I was delighted to be invited to take part in the opening event and am sure a great night was had by all. I wish the hotel every success. Hooray!” The 7-storey hotel is the first of Hilton Worldwide’s Hampton Hotels to open in Newcastle and it offers a very welcoming, friendly and bright place as well as magnificent views of the city. The hotel has a mix of business and leisure travellers who stay in the 160-bedroom hotel opposite Newcastle Central Station.
