Eric Burdon & The Animals Played a Magic Gig at Newcastle City Hall Last Night!!

One of Tyneside's Most Famous Sons, Eric Burdon, 75, made a rare appearance in the city centre last night with his only UK date this year.

Supported by The Moat Brothers & The Marmalade, Chris Cross the Magician then Warmed-up the City Hall Crowd with a few Jokes & Magic Tricks, before announcing Eric and the Band on to the Stage, where they showed the Home Audience why they're still on the top of their game! It was a Brilliant Show organised and promoted by Danny Cox of Relentless Concerts.

After the Gig, Newcastle's Favourite Magician, Chris Cross, Entertained Eric & The Animals backstage. He also entertained VIP Guests in the Green Room. Eric was impressed with the tricks and said he ''wanted to see more again next time around'' and signed a Vinyl to Chris with the words ''To be Continued'' written on it, too.

Chris Cross said: ''It was Great to meet Eric and the band. He really is a Geordie Legend, despite the fact that he's been living in LA for the majority of his life. This guy has performed with the Greats over the years, including Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, John Lennon and so on. It was such a privilege to spend an evening with a guy like that, an inductee in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, who's full of stories and full of experience in entertainment. Hat off to him mind, the band did a great show and he's still got the voice at 75 - That's for sure!''
