Comedian & Presenter Jimmy Carr brings A Terribly Funny Book Tour to Newcastle

The Tyne Theatre and Opera House have announced that Jimmy Carr will be bringing his new show A Terribly Funny Book Tour to the Tyne Theatre on Monday 4th October 2021.
 

In a unique performance that combines side splitting stand-up, extracts from his latest release Before & Laughter: A Life Changing Book, and rounded off by a Q&A, with this show, the clue is in the name. Known for his notoriously dark humour, Jimmy’s show takes the terrible, the things that might have affected you or people you know and love, giving them an unexpectedly humorous twist.
 

An award-winning household name in stand-up comedy, Jimmy Carr is also a TV favourite hosting a number of Channel 4 panel shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats, 8 Out of 10 Cats does Countdown and The Big Fat Quiz of the Year.
 

Speaking about the tour, Jimmy says “Before & Laughter: A Life Changing Book is a about my life, but also a bit of a self-help book. […] I’m gonna do a full stand-up show, and then I’ll do some Q&A with the audience, an interview with a friend about the book, and a few anecdotes about my life. It’ll be a proper stand-up, funny show—you'll be sick of the sight of me by the end of it!”
