Cineworld Newcastle to Introduce the North East’s First Ever Superscreen This November
Cineworld, one of the UK’s leading cinema chains, today announced it will introduce the North East’s first ever Superscreen auditorium at Cineworld Newcastle on Saturday 17th November. Located in The Gate leisure and entertainment centre, once the full refurbishment is complete, the 2,742-seat cinema will feature sixteen cutting-edge screens, including 4DX and soon Superscreen, as well as a Starbucks (due to open in December).
The Superscreen will allow customers to see the latest blockbusters on a breath-taking wall-to-wall and ceiling-high screen. The auditorium will seat 396 people with laser 4K projection giving a brighter 3D experience and stunning multidimensional Dolby Atmos sound through 38 speakers.

Local cinema-goers have the opportunity to purchase a Cineworld Unlimited Card, allowing them to enjoy access to an unlimited number of films per month for less than the price of two new-release peak time tickets, at just £17.90 per month. The Unlimited Card gives holders 10% discount off the price of cinema snacks and drinks, local offers at restaurants and shops, and exclusive advance screenings.
