Chance to Have the First Official Ride of The Hoppings
Fans of Europe’s biggest travelling fair are going to get the opportunity of a lifetime – the chance to have the first official ride at this year’s Hoppings.
The much-loved fair is returning to Newcastle Town Moor from June 20 -29, with hundreds of rides, side shows, food outlets and entertainment.
And to get the event started in real style, organisers Crow Events is offering one person and their guest the opportunity to go on the ride of their choice, following the official opening by the Lord Mayor of Newcastle.
The winner can choose between classic favourites or may want to try the newest thrill ride, Drop Tower, which will be at the moor for the first time.
The white-knuckle experience will see riders drop a stomach churning 80 metres in a matter of seconds, perfect for adrenaline junkies.
Alternatively they might want to choose one of the classic fairground experiences, such as the Ghost Train or the Waltzers.
The Hoppings is traditionally opened by the Lord Mayor of Newcastle who makes a speech and then rings a bell to declare the event launched.
And that will be good news for the lucky winner, who can then get straight on the ride of their choice with their guest.
