Best of Tyne and Wear Lifestyle Businesses Celebrated at Live TV Awards

The toast of Tyne and Wear’s lifestyle businesses were celebrated last night at the inaugural Tyne and Wear Lifestyle Awards shown live on Made in Tyne & Wear.
Following 40,000 votes, the shortlisted businesses were honoured at the event held at The Discovery Museum to over 230 guests, including local dignitaries, celebrities including singer and presenter, Sinitta, and Xfactor’s Kiera Weathers, plus sporting heroes including Stephen Miller MBE and Aly Dixon.
Eleven businesses from across the region were declared the winners in the 11 lifestyle categories with a special Tyne and Wear Legend award presented to local charity fundraiser, Colin Burgin-Plews aka The Big Pink Dress.
The finalists include:
- Best Tyne & Wear Bar - The Botanist
- Best Tyne & Wear Live Experience - The Great North Run
- Best Tyne & Wear Restaurant – River Beat
- Best Tyne & Wear Fitness Facility – Model Health
- Best Tyne & Wear Hotel – Malmaison Newcastle
- Best Tyne & Wear Pub – The City Tavern
- Best Tyne & Wear Cultural Attraction – The National Glass Centre
- Best Tyne & Wear Club – House of Smith
- Best Tyne & Wear Fashion Retailer – Have to Love
- Best Tyne & Wear Hair & Beauty – Patrick Forster Barber and Shop
- Best Tyne & Wear Coffee Shop – Mister Woods
