Mela in the City returns to kickstart celebrations for Newcastle Mela 2024.
Preparations for NAAM’s Newcastle Mela 2024 – its 30th anniversary year! – are well and truly underway, and we’re helping to kickstart the celebrations over the weekend by working with them to deliver the return of our much-loved Mela in the City on Saturday 24th August!
This fantastic free day of events and activities is taking place in the shadow of Grey's Monument, and features everything from henna artists and workshops, to stilt walkers and carnival artists.
With Spice FM hosting the day, this incredible event is the perfect way to get a taste of the fantastic Newcastle Mela that’ll be taking place over Sunday 25th and Monday 26th August in Exhibition Park.
