Summer in the City
Summer in the City is a packed programme of fun, free events and activities taking place in Newcastle city centre over the summer months.
NE1’s Summer in the City is an epic, six-week-long programme offering free activities throughout the summer holidays on and around Newcastle’s iconic Quayside.
The varied programme offers something fun for everybody, from kids and families to culture vultures and daredevils, with events and activities delivered by trusted local businesses. In 2024, we worked with 24 local businesses to put on over 75 activities attended by more than 3,300 people and this year we’ve got an even more exciting summer of activities planned.
