Search for Santa

NE1’s Search for Santa is a free children’s Christmas trail around the city centre in December, culminating in a meeting with Santa in the iconic Newcastle Cathedral.

1 minute read
An elf meeting children at Newcastle Cathedral

Every year NE1 welcomes families to participate in this tremendously popular sell-out event.Children collect their maps, pencils and Santa hats before going on their adventure. Following the map, families complete the clues, filling out the answers which give them a chance of winning a series of fantastic prizes with local businesses.

With stops on the way, children are able to get creative at the craft checkpoints before continuing the trail.

Ending at Newcastle Cathedral, enjoy a wholesome and free day for the children to enjoy. There is always a merry atmosphere in the Cathedral, and lots to do, including face-painting, storytelling, creative sections and a hot chocolate station with whipped cream and marshmallows, as well as the chance to meet the main man himself, Santa Claus!

Before leaving, each child is given a free goodie bag full of Christmas treats.

NE1 are delighted to continue this family favourite event this year on Saturday 30th November. Tickets will be available to book from 12pm on Monday 4th November. For more details, visit https://www.getintonewcastle.co.uk/things-to-do/everything-you-need-know-about-ne1s-search-santa-2024
