5 Minutes With: Brenda Edwards - Hairspray, Theatre Royal
The big girl with a big heart and an even bigger voice is ready to take to the Theatre Royal stage. We’re switching up our hair dos, dressing head to toe in sequins and going back in time to Baltimore in 1962. Tracy Turnblad is on a mission to follow her dreams and dance her way onto national TV.
Former X Factor contestant, Brenda Edwards, is starring as Motormouth Maybelle in Hairspray (25 - 30 June) at the Theatre Royal. After finishing in fourth place in the 2005 ITV competition, Brenda went on to star in musicals such as Chicago and We Will Rock You. She’s letting her hair down in NE1 this June!
